census on December 19-20 in Japan
Dear BFS lovers,
This is a mail from “BFS-net Japan" (Director: Takano and Secretary:
Matsumoto).
Now Many BFS migrated to stopover sites in Japan.
We carried out simultaneous investigation on 19 (Saturday), or 20
(Sunday), for November. Counting results are;
<Fukuoka>
Hakata Bay area: 68 BFS and 2 common spoonbills(CS).
<Kumamoto>
Kumamoto port: 38 BFS and 3 CS.
Northern Ariake sea: 8 BFS.
Yatsushiro Sea area: 58 BFS and 1 CS
<Kagoshima>
Manose river mouth: 16 BFS
Kinko Bay area: 22 BFS and 1 CS
<Miyazaki>
Hitotsuse River Mouth: 13 BFS and 8 CS.
<Okinawa>
Main Island: 5 BFS and 1 CS.
In addition, E22 was found at Kirara beach in Yamaguchi prefecture and
migrated to Manose river mouth on November 15.
At Imazu tidal flat of Hakata Bay, Fukuoka, J15 and K98 were found on
November 11.
K79 and E15 were reported from Kinko Bay, Kagoshima on November 17 until
at least November 20.
K00 with white, green white bands on left leg was found Kumamoto port on
November 19.
From Imazu tidal flat, J10, J15 and K00 were reported on November 20.
Therefore, K00 is assumed to return to north (from Kumamoto to Fukuoka).
K96 was found from Mainland Okinawa on November 20.
J15 migrated to mainland Okinawa on November 22 together with K96.
